2019 WEC (We Energies) Annual Meeting
(and CPC-SEW Action)

WEC Energy Group held their annual shareholders meeting on Thursday, May 2nd. We used this as an opportunity to protest their coal use and blocking of clean energy. We stood on the sidewalk with signs that can be seen by drivers and shareholders/guests on the shuttle bus. Then, shareholders and their guests attended the meeting. Shareholders asked questions around clean energy and coal during the Q&A session.

We met in the parking lot at the Marcus Point North Shore Cinema (11700 N Port Washington Rd, Mequon, WI 53092). 

We gathered at 8:15 a.m. to begin our protest. At 9:30, shareholders and their guests boarded the shuttle bus to attend the meeting. Others wrapped up the protest and met at Panera (1300 W Mequon Rd, Mequon) for a debrief session when the others returned from the meeting.
